At Cultivating Change, LLC, we believe in the individuality and dignity of all clients and staff. Our primary goal is to promote total well-being and life skills for optimal functioning of all of our clients and patients.

Cultivating Change is dedicated to providing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic services in a non-residential setting for alcohol and chemically dependent individuals whose physical and emotional status allows them to function in their usual home and work environment.

Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC)

OMHC provides therapy and medication management to children (ages 6 and up), adolescents and adults. We provide evidenced based therapeutic services, case management, and Individual, family and Group Psychotherapy.

  • Medication Management / Medication refills

Psychiatric evaluations/ assessments and Psychiatric Medication Management

  • Prescriptions of appropriate psychiatric medications.

  • Prescription refills outside of a scheduled appointment is a courtesy service provided when appropriate and indicated. For a refill on your prescription in-between appointments please follow the instructions below.

    • Call 410-697-9080 and please provide the following information:

  1. First and last name and date of birth of the patient.

  2. Name of medication and dosage and frequency of taking medication.

  3. Name and address of pharmacy unless it is unchanged.

  4. Please keep in mind prescription refills may take up to 48 hours to fill.

  • Individual Therapy/Counseling
    Individual therapy (i.e. “psychotherapy” or “counseling”) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.

  • Group Therapy, Couple Therapy and Family Therapy

At Cultivating Change, LLC, our counselors are trained in a number of theoretical perspectives, many of which inform the ways they view a given situation or a set of symptoms. Some of the techniques we use include:

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Clinic (Detox/Withdrawal Clinic)

The Cultivating Change MAT Clinic Treatment Process includes Assessment, Case Management and Intake.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services

The Mentoring Program also known as PRP services are designed to assist adults, adolescents, and minors who are emotionally and or academically challenged with necessary coping skills and essential life skills enhancement needed for emotional, psychological, and behavioral wellbeing.

Program is designed for individuals with Learning Difficulties, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder), Conduct disorders, Asperger Syndrome, Autism Syndromes, and other Emotional and mental challenges.to develop essential life skills needed to function optimally in society. ​

Services Provided

Services are provided onsite and offsite by trained psychiatric rehabilitation practitioners. Transportation to and from the facility is provided in the local area.

Beginning at enrollment and routinely throughout a member’s time at the PRP, skills are assessed to determine a member’s needs. If skills or resources are needed, the staff is qualified to teach, provide, or access them. Rehabilitation is provided to all members through individualized meetings, educational groups, and organized social activities. For each member, individualized rehabilitation is provided in the environment of need as indicated by ongoing assessments.​

Mentoring Program Staff

We have well-trained, compassionate, and qualified rehabilitation staff who prioritize the care and interests of the members. Services are provided in a supportive environment where member feedback and suggestion is welcomed and valued.

Each member receives individualized counseling which includes thorough, ongoing assessments using tools mandated by the state of Maryland, rehabilitation plans, supportive meetings, and access to group activities to help members meet the goals of their choice.

Group Activities Include:

  • Social Skills/Leisure/Communication: -support the development and maintenance of natural supports through instruction and activities

  • Anger management and coping skills class.

  • Community Living Skills/Work Readiness/Functional Shopping: – increase access to and utilization of community resources including employment.

  • Health & Wellness/Exercise/Nutrition/Cooking Class: – promote healthy food choices and active lifestyle through instruction and use of exercise equipment.

  • Career and vocational skills enhancement – career choice assistance, job application assistance, – teaching members how to complete an application, write a resume, and prepare for interviews- providing onsite work opportunities to develop and fine-tune skills – connecting members with community resources that assist with securing employment.

  • Essential Parenting skills class for adults in the program.

How to join the Program:

  • We accept medical assistance. If an individual does not have medical assistance, the state may make exceptions. Please call to discuss these circumstances and to receive a referral form. 410-493-3372


Community Employment Services

Community employment services assist persons to obtain successful community employment opportunities that are responsive to their choices and preferences. Through a strengths-based approach the program provides person-directed services/supports to individuals to choose, achieve, and maintain employment in integrated community employment settings.

Work is a fundamental part of adult life. Individually tailored job development, training, and support recognize each person’s employability and potential contribution to the labor market. Persons are supported as needed through an individualized person-centered model of services to choose and obtain a successful employment opportunity consistent with their preferences, keep the employment, and find new employment if necessary or for purposes of career advancement.

Such services may be described as individualized competitive employment, individual placements, contracted temporary personnel services, competitive employment, supported employment, transitional employment, mobile work crews, contracted work groups in the community and other business-based work groups in community-integrated designs.

Substance Abuse Disorder Treatment Programs (Intensive Outpatient Treatment)

These therapy sessions are ran to help prevent drug and alcohol abuse and treat people who have encountered the devastation that drugs and alcohol abuse causes.

We use specialized knowledge of the complexities of this problem to help individual and families back on the road to a healthy existence. Let people know and understand how the use or abuse of illicit drugs or alcohol could impact their lives in negative ways.
